How Does CoolSculpting® Work?

CoolSculpting® is a comfortable, non-invasive procedure that typically requires no downtime. Here’s what you can expect during the treatment:
1. Consultation
Your journey begins with a consultation where your provider will assess your areas of concern, discuss your goals, and customize a treatment plan tailored to your needs.
2. Treatment
During the procedure, a CoolSculpting® applicator is placed on the targeted area. You’ll feel a cooling sensation as the device freezes the fat cells. Many patients find the procedure comfortable, and some even take naps during treatment. The duration of the treatment usually ranges from 35 to 60 minutes per area, depending on the size of the treatment area.
3. Post-Treatment
After your CoolSculpting® session, you may experience temporary redness, swelling, or a slight pinching sensation in the treated area. These effects typically subside within a few hours to a few days. You can return to your normal activities right after your session, as no downtime is required.
4. Results
CoolSculpting® results are gradual and become more noticeable over time. The body will naturally eliminate the treated fat cells in the weeks following treatment. Most patients begin to see visible changes within 4-8 weeks, with full results visible around 12 weeks post-treatment.
